Mark Your Calendars: Scout Jam 2019

The Council Activities Committee is extremely pleased to announce the destination scouting event of 2019: Scout Jam.

On October 11-13th, 2019, Scouts and their families will have the chance to experience virtually everything a National Jamboree has to offer, without having to travel hundreds of miles to do so! We will have interactive activities for every age level, creating memories for a lifetime.

  • Cub Scouts are invited to spend the day at Scout Jam on October 12th and participate in age-appropriate activities with their families geared towards fun, adventure, and experiencing what it’s like to be a Scout!
  • Webelos Scouts will be invited to camp with a Scout troop and receive the full experience of being a Scout for the weekend.
  • Scouts BSA Troops and Venture Crews will be given the chance to choose between two unique camping opportunities, both near all the action.

Scout Jam 2019 is so big, we have to hold it at two venues! It will be held at both Camp Crown and Fox River Park just to the north.  Highlights include:

  • Traditional camping at Camp Crown or Jamboree-style camping at Fox River Park
  • Full immersion activities during Saturday including:
    • Canoeing and kayaking on the Fox River
    • Rock climbing on the rock wall
    • Fat Tire mountain biking on 10 miles of mountain bike trails
