Youth Protection & Online Resources

Youth Protection Training (YPT)

The Boy Scouts of America places the greatest importance on creating the most secure environment possible for our youth. Every registered adult leader is required to take Youth Protection Training every year through the website. This training is easy to follow and only takes about 50 minutes to complete. Click the link to take Youth Protection Training. As of Dec 1, 2017, all adult applications submitted must include the Youth Protection Training Certificate generated at the end of the online course.

Most courses may be taken entirely online via If you have not already, you will need to create an account. Through this account, you can also access a record of trainings that you have completed under the “My Dashboard” tab.
