Please visit us here, at neic.org/MSR90 regularly, where we will be bringing you frequent updates on activities, lodging, registration and events surrounding the 90th Anniversary of our beloved Ma-Ka-Ja-Wan Scout Reservation.

What does our “All-Inclusive Package” entail?

  • All Meals, including (Friday Brat Fry, Afterglow at Longshots (cash bar), Saturday continental breakfast at the Country Store, Dining Hall lunch experience, Saturday night dinner at North Star Lanes (cash bar), Sunday morning continental breakfast)
  • Special 90th Anniversary alumni memorabilia kit
  • Alumni-centered in-camp activities – Be a Scout again!

Auction Central

Auction Central is where you’ll find updated information on our exciting Saturday night auction, filled with memorabilia, services and experiences. We’ll be keeping you posted as we add items and get ready to go live so that people can bid, even if they can’t make it to, the event.

Teaser: We’ll be auctioning off a week at historic Bannard Cabin, in Camp Wabaningo at Ma-Ka-Ja-Wan Scout Reservation. Generally reserved for staff, regional and national visitors, you’ll get the keys to the “castle” for a week of paddling, fishing and fun! Why not bring your old buddies who were on camp staff with you and have your own reunion? Cabin will be available fall, winter or spring when available.

Would you like to donate something? We’re looking for anything from memorabilia to event tickets, to airline miles and more. Please contact [email protected]

Events & Activities

We’ve got lots of activities and events planned for you, and we’d love you to join us for all of them, or maybe you want to hit some of your old haunts on your own. Either way, we’ve got you covered in the Northwoods. Check back often as new activities are confirmed!

Friday – July 12

Afternoon activities for early arrivers – TBD

4:00 p.m. – Vigil Brat Fry – This popular event is quickly becoming a Week 3 tradition. Join us at the Chojnacki Shelter in Gilwell Field at Camp Wabaningo as the MAA hosts our Vigil honors members, their friends and families before heading to the big fire.

8:00 p.m. –  Walk to the Grib Bowl – Meet us at the Country Store if you’d like to walk with us to the Ma-Ka-Ja-Wan Fire and OA ceremony that follows.

Dusk – Ma-Ka-Ja-Wan Fire program begins

10:30 p.m. (Approximate): Cracker Barrel – TBD For the last few years, our alumni, staff and friends have been gathering at one of many favorite local watering holes to share some food and fellowship. Most conversations start with, “When I was at camp…” We’ll provide some nourishment, but the cash bar is up to you.

Saturday – July 13

Vigil Breakfast (not a part of the official MAA activities, but we understand that our Vigil members will probably want to attend)

10:30 a.m. – Remembrance Area Chapel Service – Join us as we honor those of our scouting family who have departed, but remain in our hearts.

1:00 p.m. (Approximate) – Lunch in the Dining Hall!  – Yep, we’re taking you back and recreating the “Ma-Ka-Ja-Wan Dining Hall Experience” just for you. It’s sure to be a show!

Afternoon activities – TBD

6:00 p.m. – MAA Dinner & Auction (Time TBD) at North Star Lanes in Antigo – Located just 30 minutes from camp, we’ve got a special night in store for you including, an auction, recognition, food and fun for everyone.

Sunday – July 14

9:00 a.m. – Breakfast at the Country Store – for those who are staying in camp, or just want to come back one more time, we’ll be gathering for a final farewell before we return to our regularly scheduled programming.

Lodging

Of course, we encourage you to stay at MSR’s Gillwell Field, the new location of Family Camp, which is included with your registration. It’s easy. Park and ride or walk with us to our events and activities at camp. There are a few RV hook-ups, which are first come, first served, so if your planning to take “the caravan” to camp, we recommend reserving early with the camp office.

If you’d rather sleep in a bed and not wait in the shower line, we have we’ve set up some special rates in the area and want to make this as easy as possible for you.
