2021 National Jamboree

The National Scout Jamboree is July 21-30 at the Summit Bechtel Reserve in West Virginia. The Northeast Illinois Council has 4 Troops and 1 Venture Crew attending.

The 2021 theme, “Facing the Challenge”, speaks both to Scouting’s century-old tradition of creating adventures that develop young people into the leaders of tomorrow and to the developing adventures of the next century of Scouting.

To attend, a Scout must meet the following qualifications:

  • Be at least a First Class Scout at the time of attendance to the Jamboree
  • Have completed the sixth grade or be at least 12 years of age by July 1, 2021 and have not reached your 18th birthday by July 30, 2021.
  • Participate in the pre-jamboree training experiences
  • Submit a Jamboree Personal Health and Medical Form before pre-jamboree training
  • Have been an active member in a Scouts BSA Troop or Venturing Crew for at least six months prior to July 1, 2021
  • Be approved by your Scoutmaster or Venture Crew Leader
  • Be approved by the local Council Jamboree Committee

The Northeast Illinois Council has opened applications for Scouts and adults who want to attend the 2021 National Jamboree. If you are interested, please fill out the corresponding form below and deliver it with a $200 deposit to hold your spot. The troops will be filled on a first come basis.
