Welcome Pat Klemens, NEIC Council Training Chair

Welcome the NEIC’s new Council Training Chair, Pat Klemens!

In his new role as Council Training Chairman, Pat Klemens will be responsible for the Council’s training plans.  Building on the work already done, Pat’s goal is to ensure that training in the Northeast Illinois Council is on a par with any Council in the country. He is looking to develop Council and District training teams to deliver effective, timely training.  With the expansion of Family Scouting, training becomes even more important. Pat’s first priority is to build a team of adult trainers. He is looking for individuals across NEIC to share their time and talent to help adult and youth leaders deliver high quality Scouting in their units. Every adult leader can improve their personal development by becoming a trainer. Join us! Pat has been involved in Scouting for more than 35 years as a Scout and adult leader, serving as a Cub Scout leader and Scoutmaster. He is currently a member of the Council Executive Board. He developed and delivered a training course at the Philmont Training Center titled “Using Games to Improve Your Unit.” He is a recipient of the Philmont Master Trainer Award and has taught Life-to-Eagle at Baden Powell University for 10 years.  Pat has been recognized with the Silver Beaver Award (2001) and OA Vigil. Join us in welcoming Pat to his new role!
