26th Annual Scouting Golf & Games Classic
The 26th Annual Scouting Golf & Games Classic will be held on Tuesday, June 17th, 2025, at the prestigious Kemper Lake Golf Club. This unique event combines a day of golf with the newly added Dealer’s Choice Card Games, a reception, and awards. Come join us for golf or a game of canasta, Euchre, Gin Rummy, or more.
Proceeds support local Scouting programs that instill leadership, character development, and essential life skills in youth across Northern Illinois.

Good Scout Dinner
The Good Scout Award has been presented annually since 1970. The award recognizes community leaders who embody the Scout Oath and Law and support the Northeast Illinois Council. Save the date for our 55th annual Good Scout Dinner honoring J.P. Gallagher which will be held September 25, 2025.
Whitney M. Young Jr. Awards Breakfast
The Whitney M. Young Jr. Awards Breakfast is an inspiring annual celebration honoring exceptional individuals and organizations in our community who have profoundly impacted the lives of youth. These leaders are recognized for their dedication to nurturing the minds, safety, health, and talents of today’s youth, paving the way for a brighter future. This cherished event unites community leaders, educators, families, and advocates with a shared commitment to empowering the next generation.
Proceeds from the Breakfast directly support the Discover Scouts Outreach Program, a key initiative of ScoutReach within Scouting America Northeast Illinois Council (NEIC). This program aims to bridge opportunity gaps by bringing the transformative Cub Scouting program to over 300 youth across 4 schools in Waukegan, and Zion, IL—at no cost to families. With dedicated staff delivering the program during in-school recess or after-school hours and mentoring parents to lead the Scouting BSA program, the initiative ensures all youth have access to Scouting, regardless of financial circumstances.
