We are expanding Scouting by investing strategically to welcome more young leaders. In 2022, we began making crucial upgrades at our camps and improving our program delivery models. Here is our list of priorities.
Family Angling Center includes fishing pond, parking lot, storage barn & equipment.
Maintenance Equipment Storage and Workshop (tractors, yard and landscaping equipment, trailers, etc.)
Family Program Pavilion - A new open-air pavilion will provide a central gathering place for Scouts, families, and community events at Camp Crown. Designed to accommodate approximately 200 people at picnic tables, the pavilion will support meals, activities, training, celebrations, and year-round programs while overlooking the new Family Angling Center.
Natural Wood Playground with climbing ropes, ladders, bridge and soft safe floor.
Welcome Center at entrance includes signage, heated building, welcome kiosk for wayfinding.
Diesel tractor with ancillary equipment including pallet forks, rough-cut mower, bucket.
Firebowl Improvements for more sophisticated camping programs. Entrance gate, signage, seating, AV, etc.
Replacement vehicle for snow plowing and ranger transportation.
Program Specific Equipment Storage building (pioneering, orienteering, Wood Badge, pedal cars, etc.)

BB Gun & Air Rifle Program Pavilion - A dedicated program pavilion will provide a covered, organized space for BB gun and air rifle activities at Camp Crown. The facility will support safe instruction, equipment staging, and expanded opportunities for Cub Scouts, Scouts, and families.
New Wayfinding Signage
Permanent Pioneering Program Area with shelter, storage, additional equipment.
Conservation Program – plants, trail work, finish GIS-based app and extending the nature trails program.
Portable Climbing Wall Upgrades
New Orienteering Course
Camp Games (life size chess, mazes, etc.)
Water Pump Improvements
Primitive campsite including fire ring, dry pit toilet. Designed as a resource for high adventure trek preparation.
Trail Design – Designer to identify and plan a perimeter trail around Crown & identify modifications needed
