Adult Leader Portal at My.Scouting

Your First Step as a Scouting America Volunteer

Creating a My.Scouting.org account is the very first step for every adult who wants to volunteer in Scouting America. This online portal is where you manage your membership, complete required training, and access the tools you need to support youth safely and effectively.

Why My.Scouting.org Matters

A My.Scouting.org account is essential because it allows you to:

  1. Manage your own information
You can update your contact details directly in the national database—ensuring your unit and the council always have accurate information.
  2. Complete required training
Most Scouting America training courses are available online through your account. This is the primary way to become a trained leader, understand program requirements, and help deliver a safe, high-quality experience for youth. In addition, many of these classes are offered in person through the Northeast Illinois Council.
  3. Keep training records accurate
Make sure your profile includes your Scouting America Member ID from your registration card. This ensures your training automatically loads into your official record.
